The story of Laundry Love began with T-Bone (Eric), a houseless gentleman living in Ventura California.  T-Bone was asked, "How can we come alongside your life in a way that would matter to you?” His response was honest and practical. “If I had clean clothes I think people would treat me like a human being.”

Laundry Love Georgetown is all about helping struggling families and individuals reclaim their dignity through clean clothes and being welcomed into the community.  And, in a small way, it offers families or individuals some financial relief, so maybe they don’t have to make those tough decisions: fill up the gas tank, buy groceries, pay the electric bill or....do laundry.

We see the laundromat as a place where strangers become friends, people are known by name, hope is hustled, and the worth of every human being is acknowledged and celebrated.  We hope to create a place where people can gather and support each other, rekindle trust, and offer hope within a community.   Through the work and partnership of the entire community, we can better the quality of life of a low-income family or individual in a small, but impactful way through laundry and through love.
